KOMPASS

Background

The idea to form the municipal network KOMPASS was

born in december 2006 in the Swedish town Eskilstuna.

Then it was incubated and developed until its birth and

was launched in January 2008. By then at a meeting in

Stockholm, initiatives were raining, informationmaterial

planned and media contacted.

The chairman of the board, Hans Lindqvist, to the left, from
Värmdö, leads the meeting.

The atmosphere was positive. At the right side of the chairman is
Magnus Hunhammar, IST, and Carl-Johan Engström, Uppsala.

The international aspect of the network has been present all the
time, although practical and organisational details are still to be
elaborated.
At one of the many preparatory meetings during 2007,
november 7th in Uppsala, there was a distinguished international
representation.

During 2008, the forms for the international network will be developed,
its management, structure and membership fees etc.
