THE PODCAR CITY 2

ICE BREAKER
The evening before the conference started, the participants
where invited to some social hours at the Johnsson museum.

This modernist building in the University area, is packed with
art from all times and now it offered wine and food.

Christer Lindström who had been working for many months with the
event, said welcome.

The guests started to get aquainted to the museum that
was flooded with light coming through the big windows.

Then the eating and the chatting started...

Easy to look out through the windows. Podcar City 2 organizer Britta Eskils
shows something over there, to Södertäljes Olof Lotström.

Jake Roberts and Frost Travis from Connect Ithaca said welcome and a specially
invited guest was Maurice Hinchey, NY State politician (D) and member of the House
of Representatives.

Hinchey made a forceful speech in favour of a rethinking of energy
policies, due to the heavy dependence of fossil fuels and the climate
change. He welcomed the the podcar city event and wished it success.

Kjell Dahlström general director of the Swedish Institute for the
Analyses of Communications, have met many politicians. Maybe he
would like more of Hincheys sort, not only in Sweden...

Podcar and PRT Veterans Malcolm Buchanan and Larry Fabian
had joined the reception.

The Professor of informatics in the University of California, Crista
Lopes and architect Alexandra Lichtenberg chatted in english, since
Lopes teammate is from HongKong, but the two could have taken it in
portuguese as well, since Crista is from Portugal and Alexandra
from Brazil...

Those interested in art, could stroll around the museum and watch the collections.

Objects from all times and many parts of the world .

Ooops, a naked woman in the museum? Well, sort of yes, not a real
human being though, but one of the art objects.

At the museum roof, the air was mild, yet an
arm of the hurricane Ike swept in now and then.

Christina Rask, Görel Hellqvist, Olof Lotström and Patrik Wirsenius
from the Swedish town Södertälje, were among the many Swedes
at the event.
