Mr Johnson is Chairman of IST - Institute for Sustainable Transportation.

Mr Johnson served as Director of Quality (1983-93) and Environmental Affairs (1989-98) for the IKEA Group and was Senior Advisor to IKEA 1998-2002. IKEA is the largest home furnishing company in the world.

He was chairman of the Swedish organization Engineers for Sustainability for several years and he has served on the boards for The Natural Step and for SWEDAC, the Swedish Board for Accreditation and Conformity Assessment, which is a Swedish public authority, responsible to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
